MemeDroid browser extension: privacy
Applies to the MemeDroid extension for Chrome, Brave and Edge and to the MemeDroid terminal userscript. Last updated 2026-10-25.
What the extension is
The extension shows MemeDroid's own information on the chart of the trading terminal you have open (GMGN, Axiom or Padre): whether MemeDroid called the coin, its danger flags, MemeDroid's bot paper trades and the buys and sells of the wallets you track in MemeDroid. It is read-only: it never signs, sends or approves a transaction, never clicks or types on the page, never reads your clipboard and never asks for, sees or stores a private key or seed phrase.
What it reads
- The address of the coin you are viewing (from the page address and the coin links on the page).
- The public address of the wallet the terminal shows as logged in: from the terminal's account area and from the terminal's own requests and answers about your account, balance or holdings. Only full public wallet addresses are taken. Nothing of the terminal's login, token or session traffic is read, and never cookies, request headers or the page's storage.
- On MemeDroid's own site it only marks the page with the extension's version and whether this browser is connected, so MemeDroid can show the install checklist.
What it sends, and to whom
- Only to MemeDroid's own server (front.memedroid.io), never to anyone else: this browser's device key (made by MemeDroid when you click Connect), the coin you are viewing and the public wallet address(es) above, for the access check and to fetch what to show.
- No cookies are sent with these requests. Nothing is sent to the terminal.
What is stored
- In your browser (the extension's own storage): the device key, the public account address it last found on the terminal, the panel's place and size, and which popups you have already seen.
- On MemeDroid's server: your linked wallets (at most two) and the terminal account bound to your MemeDroid, stored encrypted; your devices (browser type, a shortened network address, last seen) so you can see and remove them; your overlay settings; an audit record of links, removals and blocks.
- To find bugs and troubleshoot problems, MemeDroid's server keeps a short log of what you do in MemeDroid itself (the MemeDroid pages and tabs you open, the coins you open in MemeDroid or view with the overlay, and which features you use), tied to your Discord account. Only MemeDroid admins can see it, it is used only to detect bugs and fix problems, and it is deleted after 30 days.
- Your device and wallet links are tied to your MemeDroid membership: remove a device or wallet in MemeDroid's Terminal tab at any time; a device not used for 90 days expires.
What we never do
- We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.
- No analytics or tracking scripts, no remote code: everything the extension runs is in the package you install; only data and your settings come from MemeDroid's server.
- No access to any other website: the extension only runs on the three terminals and MemeDroid's own site.
Questions
Ask in the MemeDroid Discord server, or remove the extension at any time from your browser's extensions page; removing it deletes everything it stored in your browser.
